The Intro section is separate from your basic information on your profile. Learn how to update your basic information such as your email address and phone number.
Some of the information on your Facebook profile will always be public. For example, your profile picture, cover photo and name will always be public to make it easier for others to identify you if they’d like to send you a friend request.
The information in the Intro section of your profile is always public, but you can choose what information you want to include in your Intro section.
To add or edit the Intro section of your profile:
- Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.
- In the Intro section below your profile picture, click Edit details.
- Change the information or edit the privacy setting and click Save.
